Here we go again. A huge load of Action, sexy Succubi, and jokes from everyones favorite Imp. Can't wait for the next one.
We start where we left our favorite Succubus Lord. In Hell, with all 7 Succubis.And start to ... (no Spoiler here)As usual the story progress is here and i can't wait for the next one.
I just recently, within the last 8 months, found Eric Vall through my recommended section on Amazon and was hooked after the first book I read of his, Planet Broker. He has become one of my favorite authors and Succubus Lord is one of my favorite series by him. I was disappointed at the end of book 7 to learn that he was considering stopping the series. It was a good place to end the series as it finished off the current arc, but there were so many unanswered questions and so many new stories that could have been told.Thankfully, Jacob Ralston's adventure did not stop and we have been treated to the first book in what I'm hoping will be another incredible story arc.However, please be warned, if you are not a fan of sex in novels, you may not like this particular series. I personally don't like sex in a novel unless it serves a purpose. Sex for sex's sake is just literary porn, but if the sex scene serves to advance the plot, develop and deepen character relationships, and doesn't distract from the story, I have no issue with it. This is one of those instances where the sex is essential to the story. It is a story about sex demons afterall.
If you have not read the previous book/s in this series stop reading this now and go and read and then come back.OK here is what I do for reviews for series. If you are reading this I am assuming you have already read the previous Book/s in this series (refer to comment above). You already know this book is good so anything I say now is redundant and I am now wondering why you have not already hit the Buy button instead of wasting valuable reading time reading this review. Go on, you know you will, hit Buy and enjoy. Bye :)
For readers that enjoy repetitive story lines in a serial literary effort, this installment is more of the same with a few different characters. It reminds me of some other serial stories that add filler with descriptions of clothing and meals consumed by the characters. Action scenes can grow tedious because you already know at the end of the chapter the main characters will preserver. As with earlier stories, whole chapters are devoted to unnecessary sex scenes but I can see where they would attract a certain type of audience.
This book keeps the action and humor going nonstop. In this installment of the Succubus Lord series our heroes continue to do what they do best: kicking butt and taking names with a great deal of hilarity. I especially enjoyed when they went to Asmodeus' cathedral. I just couldn't stop laughing. I also love how the protagonist brings everybody together. Their interactions make this series great. Can't wait for the next one.
Okay if you haven't read this series you need to start!!! I'm looking forward to #9 already. About the series, Jacob and the Todster and the Circle of Sin (yes, there are Succubi and sex) have taken over the 4th circle of Hell now they have to hold it. Wild events ,smart ass remarks, snark and yes sex result in a crazy ride that will keep you turning pages!
