Dieses Buch ist keine Einführung in die Programmierung von künstlichen neuronalen Netzen mit Python oder R, sondern ein umfassendes Werk über die Theorie von Deep Learning. Es ist etwas vergleichbar mit dem Buch "Maschinelles Lernen" vom Oldenbourg Wissenschaftsverlag, das jedoch nun ein Jahrzehnt auf dem Buckel hat. Beide Bücher behandeln die Theorie, erläutern die Mathematik (ohne dabei wie eine Formelsammlung in Erscheinung zu treten) und ergänzen gezielt mit gut lesbaren Pseudo-Code.Dieses Buch "Deep Learning - Das umfassende Handbuch" nimmt sich ganz wörtlich, denn es ist mit 812 Seiten (Inhaltsseiten!) und 57 Seiten nur für das Literaturverzeichnis tatsächlich sehr umfassend. Es ist dick wie ein Telefonbuch aus vergangenen Zeiten!Ich verwende das Buch als Nachschlagewerk, denn selbst wenn man Deep Learning bereits mehrfach selbst angewendet hat, bleiben viele Fragen und (derzeitig noch, zumindest für mich) exotische Themen wie Autoencoder, rekurrente neuronale Netze oder Boltzmann Machines werden in diesem Buch ausführlich und verständlich genug erläutert.Das Buch richtet sich nicht an Einsteiger, sondern an Fortgeschrittene oder Experten. Dennoch findet sich auch in diesem Werk zu Anfang eine in Kapiteln sortierte Einführung in lineare Algebra, Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie und numerische Berechnung.Inhaltlich volle 5 Punkte!Auf Grund des Preises wünscht man sich hier eine gewisse Langlebigkeit. Leider hat das Buch ein Soft-Cover, so dass man es vorsichtig behandeln sollte. Ich hätte mir ein Hardcover gewünscht. Andererseits muss ich dem Soft-Cover zu Gute halten, dass das Buch sich so besser in einem Rucksatz transportieren lässt, als mit einem sperrigen Hardcover.Insgesamt immer noch 5 Sterne und ein klarer Kaufempfehlung für diejenigen, die es genauer wissen wollen bzgl. Deep Learning.
